About CISAVA
Our Mission
The Cyber Security Alliance of Virginia (CISAVA) mission is to enable the open exchange of ideas related to cyber and information security matters. The alliance is member-driven and the primary aim is to provide a safe, reliable, and fun way to exchange ideas with likeminded colleagues. We welcome everyone to join, but board and members must be cyber and information security practitioners (sorry most CIOs, CTOs and ISO don't qualify). This is for practitioners only.
Our Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors is made up of a diverse group of cyber and information security professionals who represent numerous public and private organizations in Virginia and beyond. For more information, please see the 2024 Board of Directors.
Our Members
Unlike other organizations, CiSAVA invites everyone to join, but membership is not guaranteed. We have strict membership acceptance criteria. Membership is voted on twice annually at the CiSAVA Board of Directors meetings. Acceptance criteria is based on experience, subject matter knowledge, ability to interact well with others and tolerance.
